Favourite Summer Foundations

Todays post I thought I would share with you my favourite summer foundations, although it hasn't really felt like summer so far! Even though the weather has been rather miserable, it has still been warm and muggy, so lightweight foundations are a must for me. I find wearing heavy foundations when it is hot and muggy I feel sticky and greasy which is gross!

My first favourite summer foundation is the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation, this is actually one of my all time favourites. This drugstore foundation is so amazing it retails for £8.99 and is a medium coverage which can be built up to full coverage. The main selling point for me is that it can be built up to be full coverage without feeling heavy on the skin. It also lasts really well on the skin, if paired with macs strobe cream it have give a really pretty (non sticky) dewey finish which looks really pretty and my go to base when I have some extra time in the morning. Another huge reason this is such a good summer foundation is it has SPF 15 which is essential everyday but especially in the summer, lets face it we don't want pre-mature wrinkles! 

My next favourite summer foundation is the Benefit Hello Flawless which retails for £26.50. This foundation is super lightweight, the coverage isn't as full which is great for my better skin days. Although having said that I haven't been able to wear this foundation for a while as it no longer matches my skin tone as I tan a lot, I will definitely be getting a new one to match my skin. This foundation is amazing for brightening your complexion which I love, well I think we all like a bright complexion don't we! Again,  this foundation has SPF which is really important however this one has an SPF of 25 which would be perfect for the extremely sunny days (something which is incredibly rare in the UK)!
